Horizon Capital recently signed a new lease for one of its high net worth clients at their new building, Ibis House, located in The Estuaries, Century City. The tenant, China Classification Society, is a non-profit making body in the People’s Republic of China, that performs classification surveys, certification surveys and notarial surveys of ships including offshore installations, containers and related industrial products.
Ibis House has been awarded a 4 Star Green Star Design Rating by the Green Building Council of South Africa. With just over 1400m2 of lettable space, this makes Ibis House the smallest 4 Star Green Rated building in Africa. This provides the unique opportunity for small and medium sized businesses to occupy and benefit from a Green Rated building – limited space is still available at Ibis House for such businesses. A notable feature of these benefits is the 36% reduction in electricity consumption.
